This lovely card was created using the following products:
Using 1 (as the base) - 5 1/2" × 4 1/4" Colonial White Cards & Envelopes, Value Pack

Cut a 5 1/4" x 4" Rectangle out of the goldrush with white arrowheads from the Dreamin' Big paper pack

Cut a 3 3/4 " x 5" rectangle in  Colonial White Cardstock .

I created the background using Glacier Fern and a very little smidgen of Blossom ink and a medium round waterbrush.

Used stampset Some Kinda Wonderful—Cardmaking to stamp fox and sentiments in Ctmh Black Exclusive Inks™ Stamp Pad

Shinhan markers used to color the fox are  Mahogany and Clay. Poppies are created from Cricut Flower Market Cartridge using Carmine, Leaf Green and Lavender

I finished off the card by sponging the edges with Glacier and Fern inks using a sponge and a Shimmer Brush in Clear just to add some shimmer.

Creative Thursday Using featured Jeepers Creepers Paper Pack of the Month

Jeepers Creepers is such a great paper pack to work with it is not just for Halloween themed cards of pages.  There are so many fun patterns and neutral colors that this time it is used to make an Encouragement card for someone who maybe in the doldrums or needs a pick me up.

What I used:
Colonial White Cardstock card layered with Black cardstock cut to fit just inside the edges and then cut the fun googly eyes with the zip strip attached at the top smaller to layer on top of the black.  I found in my stash a package of Good Life Complements and added colored stars, live colorfully banner and right now banner a couple of gold sequins.  The final touch was to use the Shimmer Brush  to highlight some of the stars and the eyes.

Be creative and remember if you have an y questions please do not hesitate to ask...All products are available at  http://cargren.closetomyheart.ca/

If I have inspired you please post in the comments...

Creative Thursday - Jeepers Creepers Paper Package

People who know me know I love Halloween and I love the new Jeepers Creepers Paper Package.

Did you know that each patterned paper in the paper packs has a Zip strip at the top of one side the page that coordinates with the page?

On the card I used the Zip strip of little monsters to accent the zigzag pattern in the paper at the top and the middle of the card.
Items used:
Stamps: the acorn is from C1657 Woodland Critters and the Happy Halloween is from the D1698 Sugar Skull stamp sets. Cut by hand the banner and acorns and glued on the card with Bonding Memories Glue.

Exclusive inks stamp pad Chocolate
Shinhan Markers for pumpkin Marigold, Sap Green,Clay and Colorless blender . Once all colored and dry went over it with the Shimmer Brush to make it sparkle. Last but not least put three gold sequins and the card is finished.

Hope this card inspires you and if you have any questions or want to show me how this card may have inspired you, post in the comments below...For more information on our Close to my Heart products please go to   http://cargren.closetomyheart.ca/.

You make me Happy every time you join me for Creative Thursdays.

Today the blog is dedicated to you.  You who come to visit and I hope I can inspire you to make your own cards or do scrapbooking.  When you give a card that you have made to someone it means that much more to them than if you stood in front of a rack of cards and just grabbed the first one that made sense to you and fit the occasion.

So here it is
Supplies used

I used the stampset A1192 called  Happy Heart .

The cardstock colors are Base cut 3" x 6" fold in half, layered with Lagoon cut a 2 7/8" square and  cut a 2 3/4 " White Daisy square.

Exclusive Inks used Cranberry to stamp the  sentiment and hearts along the top of the card.

Tape used E-Z Dots.

used Enchantment Ribbon Pack  to put some ribbon across the card.

I used the peacock green marker to color the Clear Sparkles and placed three on randomely.

And that is it that simple, a card anyone would enjoy getting a card that you put your hand to would bring a smile and warm thoughts to them.

Comment if you like the card, follow and enjoy til next time.

Creative Thursday post on Saturday

This has been a very emotional week because of some very important influences in my life have left this world.  I am still very sad but I know they are no longer in pain and rest in peace and love.

Did you know that Close to my Heart now has some of our stampsets translated into French and Spanish?  Well we do and there are several in our new catalogue they will have an F or S in the number of the stampset.

The cardstock colors are Base Poppy cut 3" x 6" fold in half, layered with Lagoon cut a 2 7/8" square and  White Daisy cut a 2 3/4 " square.

Exclusive Inks used Black and Poppy.

Tape used  E-Z Dots.

The markers are Cherry pink, peacock green, marigold and colorless blender.

Finished it off with our new shimmer brush.
